Why do I need to add my card details to Sippi before payment is due?

When you submit your first resident permit application, your card details will be requested so that you can pay for the permit. However, you will not be charged unless, and until, your permit is approved.

In order to validate your card details, you may see a charge for £0 or £0.01 appear within your bank account; this will disappear shortly.

Your card details will then be saved on Sippi to make it quick and easy to pay for any future permits. If you have a permit that will be paid in monthly installments, we will use the selected card details to charge the next installment when it is due. Your saved card details can found within the 'Manage Payment Methods' section of the menu, please note that the details have been tokenized for your security.
